What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When hiring a tutor, it is important to think about the kind of relationship you want. I prefer to get to know my students and get to know their interests and skills. This approach allows me to build a foundation and connect with a student. This will help us to build curiosity in academic interest areas and draw connections between subjects.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Teachers want their students to succeed, and so if you or your child is having difficulties in a particular class, I owuld suggest letting that teacher know and creating a plan to address those challenges together.
