My job as a tutor is to help students conceptualize central themes in mathematics and to have them practice on their own time. I'm flexible with my hours with prior planning.

I did my Masters in Quantitative & Computational Finance and worked as a software developer for 3 years prior to that. I love helping students with mathematics and introduction to programming. I like to adopt an intuitive approach to sessions which help the student to retain the concepts as opposed to going through a truckload of information with a low retention rate. I also like solving puzzles and finding innovative solutions to problems. I have been good at mathematics ever since I can remember, I scored a 169/170 on my GRE test. It's very important to me that a student leaves not only knowing how to get to the answer, but how to think clearly about the problem at hand and understanding the concepts deeply. I've thought a lot about what I've learned in math and science, both as a student and as a professional applying math in the real world, and seem to have developed a knack for giving clear words to what I cover, as my students tell me I make them very clear and really help them understand. I have helped over one hundred students, and look forward to helping more people learn. ... View Profile

I have always been good at math, and I love it as well. From kindergarten to my senior year of high school, I always took a progressively harder math. Being homeschooled most of my life allowed me to learn at my own speed and therefore under most topics well. In fact, I did not use a calculator until I was halfway through AB Calculus. Despite this, I have had much success in math. Presently, I tutor English, History, Music, and Mathematics. Algebra 1 and 2 are what I teach best, but I'm not afraid of Geometry and basic Calculus. I've been doing this for about a year with much success. I am patient, f ... View Profile
