I have worked with students in afterschool care and adults using my writing skills, and workshop experience. Working and graduating with an MA in Liberal Arts helped me hone my writing. Also my major study was in Expressive Arts. So
I use my exressive arts training to incorporate the senses, role playing, even some art with various media to help students to relax and warm up. This allows students get more out of their sessions, have some fun, and explore their subjects with excitement. I love the interaction of the art process. It helps to create confidence, excitement and enjoyment.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I take time to welcome srudent ; send email first . Then when we meet, Ask about person's life ie,: what activities they rnjoy, what TV or games they .might liks,sports other stess of interest..
I ask what would they most like to accomplish with tutoring. Generally try to make session relaxed and give feeling of success.
