Hi! I’m Katie and I’ve been working in Elementary Education for 16 years. All of my years teaching were in 5th grade and my current position has me working on ELA curriculum in grades 3-5 and helping to coach teachers and work with students, also in grades 3-5. Relationships matter to me first and after those are established, everything else just comes so much easier. I love to make reading and writing relevant while rigorous and engaging.

Ramon G. says, "Teacher Kelly has been a beacon of guidance for our daughter Grace, transforming her first-grade reading journey from a task into a passion. From the moment she began working with our daughter Grace, we knew we had stumbled upon someone special. Her patience and innovative teaching methods have not only improved Grace's reading skills but have ignited a spark of enthusiasm for learning that shines brightly in her eyes. Teacher Kelly is a rockstar; always on time, always clear and kind, she makes every lesson feel like a breeze. Seeing Grace blossom so quickly is just wow - all thanks to Kelly's magic touch. And her patience? Well, it's like a warm hug on those tough learning days. She's more than just a teacher to us; she's like that cool aunt who brings out the best in Grace and sprinkles a little bit of that magic on our whole family. She has truly tailored her lessons to suit Grace's individual needs, bringing her wealth of knowledge to the table in a way that's both practical and engaging. Her approach has been just the right mix for Grace, helping her not only with her reading but also building up her listening and comprehension skills in a way that feels natural. Plus, Kelly's enthusiasm for culture adds a nice touch to the lessons, broadening Grace's horizons as she learns. It's been a perfect blend of learning and enjoyment, helping Grace to excel in reading with genuine interest and curiosity. As Teacher Kelly makes reading as effortless and enjoyable as possible, we feel immense gratitude for her presence in our lives. My wife, inspired by Grace's progress, is also looking forward to learning with Teacher Kelly. We eagerly anticipate the continued growth and learning adventures that await us under her expert tutelage. Ms Kelly, from the depths of our hearts, thank you for being our guide, our mentor, and our friend." Read more

Student-oriented focus - I meet the student where they are and we work with the student and their current level of understanding. Outstanding explanation of concepts and skills - There are about 4 or 5 ways that you could solve every single math problem. I am usually good to give them the different ways until we find one that "sticks" witht he student. In the online environment, I use "their problems" when working with a student and I am marking up their work virtually. No more searching for problems on the internet that "kinda seem like my problem" or wasting time teaching yourself concepts. I'm passionate about helping students with...

I being a Computer Software an engineer by profession always wanted to teach. To fulfill my passion of teaching , during Covid year I started helping out voluntarily Elementary grade kids with homework help which led to tutoring of not only Elementary grade kids for math and ELA but also 6th grade kids too. I can go with a quicker , concise response for those in hurry or can also go in depth , methodical level of teaching if needed. I not only focus on the grade achievement of the student but also in the foundational building of the subject which is needed for excellence in any phase of life.

I worked with Jennifer preparing for the GMAT. I decided to go back to Graduate school after being out of school for 6 years. I found it challenging to relearn the math concepts required for the test. Before I decided to hire a tutor, I attempted to learn by just buying the prep books with questions. On some of the questions, I found that the book explanation was not clear enough or it assumed I knew all of the basic math concepts that I forgot with time. It makes a big difference having a private tutor help you navigate through the GMAT. Jennifer was very patient and she took the time to walk me through all different scenarios. The biggest selling point was her ability to provide me with detailed explanations of some of the most complex GMAT problems. I highly recommend Jennifer to help you prepare for the GMAT.

Angie did a fantastic job with assisting our son with College Algebra. There were a lot of foundational elements that he didn’t understand and she helped close the gap in those areas. Highly recommended!
