She is a support to me as a parent. She is my daughters best friend because Jackie understands her and how to help her. She understands how to “speak her language” and she bridges the gap between my daughter and I and heals both of us! Not only does my daughter work with Jackie to achieve academic goals, but Jackie takes extra time to work with ME as the parent to figure out how to deal with misc things that come up, how to make the best schedule, when to have consequences and when not to. She reminds me often to remember positive reinforcement and it’s something I’m working on.
Jackie sees the best in my daughter. She can see what no one else can. She can see what I see-but she also has the knowledge of how to make my daughter the best that she can be!
