Hello, my name is Joon Kim, and I am a senior at Jericho High School.
I am able to tutor Chinese, Korean, and mathematics. Also, I am able to tutor standardized tests. I have an experience in all of these subject fields, and I am comfortable with working with people from ages from Elementary to High School.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like being flexible with them as much as possible. I ask what's their biggest struggle and I would look for the best workbooks that would help them to improve their struggles. After I teach my part of the lesson, rest of the class I would help with their homework or do a drill that student is familiar with to remember it clearly.

How did you get started teaching?
My parents are both teachers, so I always wanted to know what it feels like to teach another student.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked around with younger students previously. It's also easier for me because I am more comfortable with younger students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a tutor that is flexible in time because by doing so you can also be flexible with your own schedule.
