About
I am a college student pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine, and I love the way numbers and calculations work to bring understanding to problems. I also have a lot of passion for teaching others and trying to help others achieve a better understanding of the material that they are studying along with helping them grow and appreciate the subject that I know and love. Additionally, I have studied science and history for years, at both an AP and college level and would enjoy the opportunity to teach about my passions outside of my major.
I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for math and logic. I also love to see people be able to grow and learn in ways that they did not know that they could. There is also joy for me in learning as well because by teaching people I also get to learn and grow and get to grow a connection to the people that I am teaching.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with a new student is to get to know them and how they view the subject that they are working on. Whether they view it as a passion that just needs more help to fully develop, a burden to be overcome, or something else entirely. Once I have begun to know this information I like to begin by introducing the basic ideas around the subject or topic at hand to get a better grasp around the fundamentals. This helps me learn who the student is as a person and how they like to learn and interact with the subject so that the relationship is built and the way to approach the subject can be improved for each of the individual students
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a large background in mathematics. I am pursuing a mathematics minor and a computer science degree. I have taken up to Calculus III, linear algebra, and statistics at the college level. I have been at the top of my class throughout high school and college. math has always come easily to me, and I love to share and learn with people while improving my own skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
College Course (this includes AP and IB classes) -$20/hr
SAT / ACT prep - $17/hr
High School Course - $15/hr
Middle / Elementary School course - $13/hr
My pricing is fairly flexible depending on the student and the subject along with the economic availability of the student/family.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In my experience, all of the people available know the subjects that they are offering to teach. I think that the best idea is to go with the person that you can relate to and get close to because that allows you to learn more from the person and for the tutor to be able to help you more and to expand your understanding in a way that you are able to better grasp while also hopefully growing your appreciation for the subject.
