About this tutor

I have always enjoyed sharing my passion for physics and math with others and have always loved working with students.

I have worked as TA for intro physics at the UW and have been tutoring privately for about a year now. In addition, I have participated in research on physics education and ways of teaching abstract concepts so essential to science.

I believe that once one understands something in depth only then one is able to teach it, that's why I choose to tutor topics that have been ingrained in my brain and not the ones I am currently working on learning. I also believe that anyone can learn anything if one has the right background knowledge because we are all able to form new brain connections! Many difficulties in understanding come from missing background knowledge and I have been working with my students to fill those gaps so they can feel the pleasure of learning new material easily and enjoy it in the process! :)

I am very grateful that I got to travel a bit last summer... Small things:)

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Do it not to pass the class, but to understand it because Physics and Math provide you with oh so many insights on how the world works and there is infinitely many applications of it.
