Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically gauge how much the student understands at the time, and go from there. Everyone learns differently and I try to cater my teaching to the students' learning styles.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken college-level math courses in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, and am currently a Computer Science major and Mathematics minor.
Additionally, I have been tutoring for two years and have volunteered as an Assistant teacher at Atlantic Street Center's Summer Academy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
If you are from a low-income family and can't afford my rates, we can find a rate that works for you. My priority is your learning!
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students from elementary school all the way up college students. I get a lot of students in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and AP Computer Science.
