I am a recent graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Middle-Level Education (Grades 4-8). I have an extensive background in math since that is my subject of focus. I have previous experience working with students in general math classes, Algebra I, and geometry but have studied through Calculus III. I am a certified teacher in Pennsylvania.
I love working with students and seeing them grow. My favorite moments from teaching are seeing students have that "Aha!" moment where they finally understand something they have been struggling with.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student my goal is to get to know them so that I can learn about their learning style, current struggles, and goals. I can also use what I know about the student to tailor lessons specifically to them so that we can maximize their learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Pennsylvania certified teacher in Grades 4-8 with a focus on math. I recently completed my undergraduate degree at Penn State University where I studied Middle School Education.
