About
Hi there! I just graduated from the University of Washington (Seattle) in June 2023. I completed my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies (Teaching and Learning) in three years. I am currently attending Seattle University in their Masters in Teaching Program. I am working to become an elementary school teacher and I am student teaching in a second grade class. I have worked at a math tutoring center called Mathnasium in California and here in Washington. I absolutely love both kids and math and would love to help kids any way I can! I also thought a good way to measure my skill level is my AP test scores. In high school, I took the AP test for Calculus BC, Environmental Science, and Macroeconomics and received a 5 (the highest score) on all three. This is something I am very proud of that I worked extremely hard to achieve.
I love helping kids understand any concepts in school. My favorite thing is getting to see the moment when something finally clicks for a student. This is what has driven my passion for teaching along with helping all students feel included and loved.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked at a math tutoring center for 8 months and worked with kids from first grade all the way to 11th. I also just completed AP Calculus BC at my high school and revived a 5 (the highest score) on the AP test.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am willing to negotiate on pricing :)
How did you get started teaching?
I got my passion for teaching because I've always been bullied in school. I've been pushed aside in many of my classes and it's made a huge impact on my life. I want to teach to make schools as inclusive and welcoming to all of my potential students so they hopefully don't experience what I did. I also love getting to see students have concepts "click" and seeing them finally understand what they are learning.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of students from first grade all the way to 11th grade. I have worked the most with kids in third grade as I have volunteered in two third grade classes over the past two school years.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would recommend that you make sure that the teacher you choose isn't doing it only for the money but also for the kids.
