I am a very passionate and animated tutor! This stems from my deep love for numbers and how they behave!
I have many years of Real-World classroom experience teaching AP Calculus, PreAP Pre-Calculus, College Algebra, College-level Calculus and many others!

My deepest joy comes from the look on a students face when they finally attain concept comprehension. It justifies all of the hard work and time spent attaining the knowledge.
Providing a student with the confidence to perform on their own is also a very rewarding part of the work that I do!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The primary step is meeting with the student/parents and getting to know them and how they learn. This makes for a more efficient transition into the tutor/student roles!
Evaluations follow, where by I find the areas where a student(s) is having their greatest difficulties. These are the areas and concepts I highlight.
Regular quizzes at the end of every tutoring session will be used to gauge the depth of concept comprehension, data will be discussed with the parents. This will help myself and the parent decide what direction the tutoring sessions take, dependent on the students data.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a formal bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics with 18 hours of Master's Level credit courses acrued as well.
I have a double minors in Analytical Physics and General Astronomy.
I taught at the University level for 3 years while I finished off my Bachelors degree and while I worked on my Masters degree.
I taught for 2 years at a Private-Charter school, teaching AP Calculus and PreAP Pre-Calculus.

How did you get started teaching?
I started Student-Teaching while attaining my college degree. I was lucky enough to attain a lecturer position while working towards my Masters degree, this lead to my position teaching AP Calculus and PreAP PreCalculus at a Private-Charter School. All summed up, I have roughly 5+ years of Real-World Classroom experience to back up my tutoring services!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all makes and models of students. I am bilingual so I can work with students whose primary language is spanish.
I dont turn any student away, as long as there is a genuine want to improve their in-classroom performance!
