Back 'in the day' I was an A student in mathmatics. In college I did 4 semesters of calclus plus other mathmatical courses (but that was a long time ago). I worked in electrical engineer for many years and then was in publishing. I have always felt that the reasons for the problems many students have with calculus is due to the lack of a firm foundation in Algebra an trigonometry and I would like, primarily to address this deficit.
