About
I have very flexible availability! I am eager to get to know students on a deeper level to best determine their unique learning style. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a child, and I can't wait to help educate students to better understand their cirriculum!
I love education! I have always been passionate about learning. I think every person is a sponge and has the ability to soak up so much more than they think they can! Our brains are capable of storing SO MUCH INFORMATION. I find joy in being able to cater to each student's specific needs to help them better understand their course material.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to do activities to get to know them better! Once we establish a dynamic, then it's easier to figure out their learning style and therefore my teaching style. I like to ask lots of questions!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In high school, I participated in PALS (Peer Assisted Learning System), where I went to elementary schools in the area and tutored students in whatever subjects they needed help with. I began college as an early childhood education major, but I ended up switching majors after a year. During that year, I did observation hours at an elementary school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 per hour, $15 for 30 minutes
How did you get started teaching?
Technically, I haven't started teaching. I started out as an education major in college, but then I found a different passion in the communication field. Since graduating college, and especially with currently being in a pandemic, I am yearning for a purpose and I miss education!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have interacted with students of many races and many different home backgrounds. Some have terrible home lives, and some have been very fortunate. It's important to be able to adjust your teaching style to each student's individual learning style.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who will listen to you! Education isn't only about the cirriculum--it is also learning life skills and interacting with people. Learning is so much more fun when you can learn from a teacher that you have a relationship with. Look for a teacher who will hear out your concerns and work hard to develop the best technique for your style of learning!
