I enjoy helping students develop a critical thinking aspect to their learning approach. I love asking students "Why?" and making sure they can prove their thinking to me. I love seeing the "click" that students see when I help them to understand. We slow down to "speed up" in our lessons.
I have been teaching for 4 years in a college setting as a biology tutor and in the junior/elementary field as an English teacher. It is my greatest joy to help those from the tinyiest of learners to the most seasoned in college.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Seeing where they are academically and getting an idea of how they process information first before proceeding to teach. Also getting an idea of how they do NOT like to learn or previous bad experiences so I know what NOT to do.
