Sarah Newville Tutoring
About
I have a passion for helping students excel at their studies and gain lifelong skills (and tips and tricks) for learning, memorizing and test taking skills.
I excelled throughout school, graduating highschool and undergraduate college with honors. While you may not see a history of teaching degrees, I've spent my career establishing high leadership roles, a successfull marketing businness career and I hope to pass along my skills and knowledge to other students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I establish rapport with my students and get a feel for the ways they learn best - visually, audiably, etc. Then, I work with the students to establish goals they want to achieve and outline a plan to accomplish those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a young student myself I was in the gifted and talented program, I excelled at classroom and standarized test taking with results in the top percentile of the state. I went on to graduate magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Arkansas.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system established.
How did you get started teaching?
I've organically tutored kids of family friends and in my local neighborhood. I'm looking to establish my tutoring business and expand my clientele.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with elementary and middle school students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise a student to hire a teacher that they look up to and can respect as a role model. The best teachers are patient, accommodating and willing to walk along students as they challenge them to succeed. All students are capable of achieving their goals, they just need the right support to help them down the path.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
- What am I looking for in a tutor?
- What ways do I learn best?
- What do I want to achieve with tutoring?
