About

I am a strong supporter of education, and I believe that every person deserves an opportunity to obtain an excellent one. I am an advanced high school student with fantastic grades and a passion for helping others, and the best part of doing this is seeing the excitement on students' faces as they finally understand something or see significant improvement in their performances. I have held and am currently holding multiple leadership positions at my previous and current schools, including being both National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) President and Student Council (STUCO) President for two consecutive years. Furthermore, I am a straight A student VP of my school's step team, and an active member of the Black Student Union. I have helped my peers in subjects such as AP Human Geography and Biology, and I started a club at my former school called Leaders of Operation Kindness (LOOK), a club dedicated to creating a positive environment within the student body and making the world a better place through community service. I have also received recognition for my academic performance through having the opportunity to prepare and deliver presentations and by obtaining certificates. By being a younger tutor/private lesson instructor, I can truly connect with my students and create a focused, efficient, and fun environment for them to thrive in. Additionally, I work well with kids and participate in a child development program at my school, a program that allows for high school students to serve as preschool teachers.

I enjoy my work because I enjoy serving others, and, by tutoring or by providing private lessons, I am equipping people with skills they can use to further their paths to success.

Frequently asked questions

Every student is unique, so I always aim to get to know a student's personality, strengths, and weaknesses before moving forward. I also like to become familiar with my students' most successful learning styles so that my services can be as effective as possible. Although the way I teach varies by student, I typically create a detailed lesson plan with small and specific goals. I provide tutorials, practice, and additional resources after almost every lesson, and I make sure to somehow relate the lesson to things my students' enjoy. I work on both accumulation of knowledge and then the application of newly acquired knowledge so that true progress can be made.

I am an advanced sophomore high school with straight A's. I have tutored my peers through peer tutoring programs, and I have helped them succeed in achieving their academic goals through personalized lessons and strategies. Furthermore, I have served (and am currently serving) as a private tutor, have served as a Leadership Intern (LI) under the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and am part of a child development program at my school. I am organized, detailed, and thoughtful, and I create a pleasant and non-judgemental environment for my students to thrive in.

Prices will vary depending on the age of the student, how long the session is, and what the student is requesting. However, typically, I will charge $25-$30 for a 30-45 minute session and $30-$44 for a 60 minute session.

I have worked with other high school students through peer tutoring programs, middle schoolers, elementary school kids, and preschool children; I have experience interacting with kids from ages 3 to 16.
