About
I started a tutoring/consultation business specifically for kids who have anxiety, sensory processing disorder, high functioning autism, and emotional communication episodes because I saw these kids know so much but have shut down to their experiences and many tutors don't have the skills to navigate the different abilities. My job is to build a working relationship with these kids and families to meet them where they currently are a both academically and socially emotionally so we can both work to move forward.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I get to know the student socially, emotionally, and academically to understand how they acquire content, process content, and then demonstrate content.
Secondly, I work very hard in developing a trusting relationship so the student feels vulnerable to asking questions.
Thirdly, we work on developing content goals and creating rubrics together to determine when we feel we are ready to move to new content.
