About
My specialty is catering the study plan to the student's individual needs. In addition to my tutoring practice, I have experience working with kids through after school programs, camp counseling and teaching music lessons. I am able to use my experience to identify the type of learner that each student is in order to cater my tutoring curriculum for their optimal success.
I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that I have truly improved someones comprehension of a subject. I have fun understanding their point of view, and creating a unique path for their retention.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with the curriculum that the school has assigned. We will work through homework problems together. Then I identity the gaps in their understanding and create more activities and material so they can grow in specific areas. This will ensure they get the highest grades, while retaining the material. My goal is to increase their confidence in learning, give them tools for the classroom, and facilitate practice to solidify their understanding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student at Portland State University. I have many years of experience as a tutor, camp counselor, after school program aid, and music teacher. On a personal note, I am the big brother to 5 younger siblings, so I have been helping with homework my whole life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
