My son needed to learn what had not been taught in his AP Pre-Calc course, and in a ridiculously short time, Joshua explained the concepts with clarity and enthusiasm that made my son want to have him as a resource in future classes, if needed. I am currently in my sophomore year of college, and I love working with kids to improve their understanding of subjects such as writing, math, and science—I have been working with K-12 students in privately-taught classes for over 3 years. I received my GED in 2020 with above average scores in all subjects and and currently have a GPA of over 3.8. I hope to help students learn by teaching in a simple manner from the ground up and building on their current strengths, as well as teaching subjects in-depth to facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

Children can come year round before school, after school, get help with homework, during breaks or during the summer to continue working on keeping their skills sharp or too improving their skills at any level in any subject matter taught at the Elementary Level. It's rewarding! 30 years plus in the classroom, I enjoy seeing the light come on in the children eyes, when they finially get it, know and understand that there is joy in learning. When I don'st hear, this is boring, it's stupid, I don't need it anyway, I'll never use it. And at the end, I will hear them say this is fun. Then I know that I have made a different in a child's life! Th...

Reviews for Eugene math tutors

Ryan L.
Ever since I started my college career, I've felt a dissonance between my self and my feelings. It has always been a facet of myself that I can't quite grasp. I tell myself and others that I lack the vocabulary/emotional intelligence to understand what's going on inside. Maybe I've just been trying the wrong approach. I don't think there's a mindfulness textbook that defines the way that mindfulness should work (there might be though, and if there is that's cool), it's different for everyone. This exercise was really freeing in that it showed me that there is no one formula for mindfulness, that it can even come in the form of constructing Markov Decision Processes (MDPs) and running policy extraction, and that I shouldn't put as much pressure on myself to have this idealistic grasp on mindfulness. So thank you Josh and CS360 course staff for letting me learn a little more about MDPs and also about myself!
