I have spent my career in business working in analytics, marketing, sales operations, and business training. With over 20 years of expert experience , I can help you develop the skills you need to help in your work or retirement or school! I have trained teams and individuals to better understand the information they want to learn as well as teaching them better work habits.
I am equally skilled at training you how to setup your work as I am at doing the work. I have a good eye for detail and creativity in designing it to meet your needs.
My skills crossover the following areas: Computers, Math, and Business.

I like to help those I work with to improve themselves and feel a sense of accomplishment in developing new skills.
We all have natural gifts that need to be brought out and understood how to let them shine! Often, our limitations are due to a lack of understanding not a lack of ability. I enjoy helping bringing out the very best in you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As I get to know a new student I develop a learning profile for them. How do they best learn? What motivates them? What interests them? Are there any barriers to learning?
While I am good at presenting the skills that you want to learn, I also make sure I am transfering those skills to the student and they comprehend it. That is why I always ask whether an area has been learned by having the student repeat and demonstrate the knowledge or skill.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Mechanical Engineering. I also have an MBA in Business and have spent a career training people to develop their skills and knowledge.
My wife and I have two children that we homeschooled from Elementary School all the way through High School. I am very comfortable working with children and adults of all ages.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I normally charge $40-$60 per hour for lessons, depending on the skill area being taught. I am, though, flexible and I am willing to work with the student and their family in developing a pricing plan for a series of lessons.
I find that discussing with my students and their families their needs and goals helps us come to a mutually satisfying agreement.
How did you get started teaching?
I am a teacher at heart. I enjoy seeing people of all ages grow in their skills and knowledge. I strive to help them develop their confidence as they gain new skills.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages. I have tutored children, teenagers, as well as adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking to hire a teacher, you always want to make sure they know how to teach your student in the best way for your student to grasp the concepts. That is, are they flexible in the modes of how they convey the idea or skill to your student. Whether it be visual or auditory, they always should have a feedback mechanism to determine the level that the student grasps the idea or the skill.
I am hands on with my students. I show them the concept then have them teach it to me. As they say, "Teaching is the best way of learning."
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1) What skill(s) do I want to learn?
2) What level of proficiency do I want to achieve in learning the skill(s)? How hard am I willing to work?
3) What do I understand, but need extra time practicing and what don't I understand and want help in learning.
4) How do I best learn? Sometimes a student and/or parent knows and sometimes it is best to draw it from them while engaging them.
