I am a licensed educator with a masters degree from the University of Oregon. I value student learning by prioritizing critical thinking and analysis, creating as many access points to content as possible, and prioritizing student well-being using equitable practices, and integrating technology into online tutoring.
I enjoy working with young people and finding creative ways to engage them in learning! I strive to help students find academic success by centering their learning around their passion and motivation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Social Studies from the University of Oregona and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Oregon. I am trained as a secondary teacher and am endorsed to teach Social Studies, Language Arts, English to Speakers of Other Languages and Math to middle and high schoolers.
How did you get started teaching?
I have completed my student teaching in Springfield, OR and I saw a need for online tutoring while so much of school is online!

Middle schoolers and high schoolers in public schools.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who can use technology to help you learn, and who will push you to think critically about your learning. Those are things that your teachers want to do but struggle to do when they have so many students!
