Essential Math Tutoring
About
I love helping students understand and enjoy mathematics! Sometimes we preconceive the difficulty of math and have mental road blocks in our ability to understand. I'm here to help remove those doubts and help students overcome those fears and be able to conquer mathematics!
I enjoy breaking down complex mathematical theorems and lemmas into smaller, understandable parts. I enjoy helping students understand how and why they got their answers. I have immense patience and use multiple approaches in helping form cognitive skills and reasoning abilities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to assess a student's ability and get an understanding of what level their math abilities are currently. Once I see what level the student's math skills are currently at, we will set a goal of where I'd like to see the student progress to and assess how much work is needed to attain our goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a senior at the University of Oklahoma. I will be graduating in spring of 2022. My degree is in professional mathematics. After struggling in highschool to pass mathematics, I have implemented and acquired skills that have allowed me to be a successful mathematician. Learning to like mathematics and removing the fear/confusion propelled me into being successful in math. I'd love to help you learn and bring more people to a liking or appreciation for math.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is by the hour. Prices range from $20/hour and up depending on the level of mathematics and the current mathematical ability of the student. Pricing also varies for traveling.
How did you get started teaching?
After starting my own oil and gas company, I joined a program that works with STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) students. Tutoring mathematics is a passion of mine and I find enjoyment when I'm able to help others understand things they previously thought they'd never learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students, ranging from middle school all the way to college. I have also worked with underprivileged youth and private school students.
