I'm currently a freshman at Duke University, and I've been tutoring math/science for the past 4 years. I am a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist and Hamilton College Book Award Winner. I am proficient in any high school level (including AP/IB) math (algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, trigonometry) and in chemistry, biology, and earth science.

How did you get started teaching?
When I was a freshman in high school, my math teacher asked if I was available to tutor a few seventh graders at the middle school, so I decided to go for it. Four years later, I haven't stopped.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from 11 to 18, but the majority of my experience is from the 13 to 16 age range.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I only care that the student knows what he/she wants to learn.
