Saddle River Day School

I am beginning my 10th year as a mathematics teacher at Saddle River Day School. I have taught Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, generally at the honors level. I have also taught SAT math prep, and focused on standardized test-taking in tutoring sessions. I like to let youngsters "drive" the sessions by declaring the skills on which they'd like reinforcement (test preparation, word problems, analytical reasoning, etc.) and find ways to make the processes accessible and possibly even enjoyable to them. Being highly sensitive to the methods of instruction that work for different students (verbal, visual, technology-based) the one-on-one session is ideal for growth in the areas in which we progress.
