Teacher Tutor
About
I love teaching! It has been a passion of mine for a long time! I believe that helping and seeing those aha! moments are so crucial and empowering! I just recently got certified with my NY elementary certification which allows me to teach grades prek-6 in math, science, social studies and English along with special education within the NYS Next Generation and Common Core standards. I have been a tutor for 3 years when I was an undergraduate at my college. I am an active member of Kappa Delta Phi, as well as hold a membership from the National Society of Leadership.
I love teaching! That is my favorite part of tutoring! I love working with students and having them realize that they finally got it! (That aha moment!). I love watch the gradual progression of their work to be something they are proud of!

My standard pricing is $25 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
My mom was a teacher, and I just loved watching her teach. When I was younger, I got to go to her school and see her classroom and meet all of her fellow colleagues. I think it was the first time I fell in love with teaching. I wanted to follow in her footsteps and now, I'm employed in the same school district she is in.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with international students at a college level as well as Prek-6th graders, in addition those in Special Education.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Probably my most recent week and a half subbing adventure when I gave the kids a Christmas party. I had to contact the base teacher and ask if it was ok, but he gave me full reign of the day. The kids had a great time and told me that I did a great job in making the day fun and enjoyable for them as it was the last day til break.
