I have a national career singing opera, broadway, jazz and pop music. I am a recorded artist on the Naxos label, I give masterclasses, and have taught in several colleges and universities as a professor in voice and literature.
I love seeing students improve and succeed. Music make a better life and it is so beautiful to see lives change because of music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I set up an initial assessment with each student; finding out their goals and assessing their skill set. Then I set up a program for them that best meets their needs and learning level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master in Music from Northwestern University in Vocal Performance.
I have a Bachelor of Music from Nazareth College in Vocal Performance.
I sing all over the nation at major opera houses, music festivals, and direct a summer program.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $100 an hour per voice lesson and $50 an hour for academic studies. Students may connect about thirty and fourth give minute lessons. Pricing also changes based on travel.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching voice and piano in high school. My mother was a piano teacher and I loved teaching. I started picking up some of her students and then started teaching voice. I have been teaching for nineteen years!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with small children though adults; of varying levels. I have worked with beginners and teach masterclasses and lessons to career musicians. It's a joy!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I was able to create and construct a program of Carmen with orchestra. I performed a one woman version of the opera; acting the entire piece on stage for forty minutes. It was so exciting to build this challenging role and go through all of the emotions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Whenever I consider working with a professional for my career development; I want to make sure that person has extensive knowledge in the area I want to focus on and a personality that wants to work with people.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about what goals they have and the reason they want to study. This may look like "singing better in church choir," to pursing a college degree, or furthering their craft.
