PRIM Tutoring

Hi, my name is Esther, and I have been teaching mathematics for over 15 years in various capacities. I absolutely enjoy helping students of all ages achieve competency in mathematics by strengthening their areas of weakness and breaking down difficult concepts to make them easier to comprehend.

My approach to tutoring includes an initial consultation with a 45-60 minute diagnostic test in the desired subject area, where students' strengths and weaknesses are captured. During this session, students are praised for their strengths and encouraged by showing various approaches to strengthen their weak areas. I also emphasize the importance of mathematics and how it is integrated into our daily lives.

What I enjoy most about teaching and tutoring is making a positive impact on my students' lives by building rapport with them from the first day. I assure them that I am a professional here to help them succeed in mathematics, especially since many students often fear the subject or may have had a bad experience in the past. The best part is when students finally understand the concepts. I absolutely love seeing their excitement and confidence grow. I often hear students say, "Math is not that bad after all," which is true once the basic concepts are understood.
