About
I have assisted everyone from family members to coworkers to people online. Everyone I have assisted received a passing grade of 90 or above in their course. I have helped individuals with learning disabilities and special needs. I actively seek to make things easier for you when something is not clear or if I am not understood.
I have loved math and music my entire life.
Math: I did worksheets in elementary school for fun on top of the assignments given. I aided fellow students in all of my math courses when work was complicated or confusing. These classes included Geometry, Algebra I and II, Statistics, and more.
Music: I have taken a number of courses and I play several string instruments. Music is a huge part of my life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get a feel for what someone needs help with and how best they learn. I need to see what they are having an issue with and if there is a particular area of focus. I do not putting learning on a time line - some people take a few days of consistent instruction to learn something and some people pick it up in a few walk throughs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Math: I have completed all of my college math/algebra/additional courses. I have assisted people in all lengths of classes: standard semester, 8 week class, 4 week course, certification courses, CLEP studying.
Music: I have been playing the piano since I was 11 years old, violin since I was 12, and the bass guitar since I was 15. I have been in a number of bands, to include metal, rock, Celtic, and more classical chamber groups. I thrived in Music Theory and aided fellow students before and after class.
How did you get started teaching?
Math: I started by aiding fellow students in junior high and by helping my cousin in her college math courses years later.
Music: After I graduated the piano and vocal program I was in during high school, I helped friends and family better understand theory. I was a choir director at a military base for 3 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types of students. I love helping anyone. If you have a learning disability, I will work with you and find the best way to explain things to you.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be honest about what you need help with. If something isn't clear, say so. Your success is dependent on both your honesty in understand the aid provided and in my ability to give you clear and precise help.
