How did you get started teaching?
My teaching career began as a volunteer at the Essex Art Center in Lawrence MA. Then I became an Assistant Teacher in Special Education at the public schools for 5 years. Once I obtained my teaching license, I taught students with Social/Emotional disabilities for 2 years. Now I teach art in Gardner Public Schools and use my past experience to aid me in supporting the needs of my diverse students.
