My first clients were family members and it grew to friends and those connected. I've helped adults and children and love watching the lightbulb finally go off in their heads! Especially when it is a subject or unit that they have been struggling with for a while.
I love giving mnemonic devices! I believe they work the easiest.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to know where I'm starting. It's easier to tutor when you know if there are any miss-steps in the baseline of learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've tutored many different people with education.
However, I also have been a manager for years and have been responsible for training many people for jobs. I think this transfers over nicely with tutoring!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is around $20 - $40/ hour, depending on the class and any extenuating circumstances.
If this price does not look doable, PLEASE reach out still! I know we can work something out!
How did you get started teaching?
My first client was my mother! I realized from there that I was able to help people, and it put a smile on my face!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with both children (elementary, middle, and high school) and adults. I have also worked with dyslexia and dyscalculia.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I went hiking with my dog and she LOVED it! I love spending time with her.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do not feel discouraged if you have gone through tutoring and it has not helped. Sometimes a tutor is not a good fit for you, and that's okay! There will be someone who is able to help and understand.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It's good to ask teachers for help no matter what. This way, they will know you are trying to learn and having problems capturing something.
