I've been tutoring math since 2016, both on-line and in person (until COVID), everything from middled school math up to Calculus, occasionally Calculus 3 or abstract Algebra. I am a mathmatics major at WSU, Ive worked in Wichita public schools tutoring math and Colledge and career readiness from October 2023-May 2024. I love teaching and I love math. A part of that love is understanding why mathematical principles act the way they do. my lessons focus on the why of math, how it works and why it makes sense. If someone simply learns the method, they are no better at math than when they started, just with something else memorized. However, if someone learns why the math works, that understanding can help you understand higher math and so on.
