I am a mathmatics major at WSU, Ive worked in Wichita public schools tutoring math and Colledge and career readiness from October 2023-May 2024. I love teaching and I love math. A part of that love is understanding why mathematical principles act the way they do. my lessons focus on the why of math, how it works and why it makes sense. If someone simply learns the method, they are no better at math than when they started, just with something else memorized. However, if someone learns why the math works, that understanding can help you understand higher math and so on.

I love people and I love math. What better way to put those two things together than sharing my knowledge with the people who need it. I am currently in school for Aerospace Engineering and have always had a knack for understanding math and its intricacies. I usually just tutor my roommates and friends but have decided to share the wealth.

I am a graduate student with a major in Data science. I taught students from middle school to high school level. I am enthusiastic and encouraging with all students i work with. My goal as a tutor is to teach students Mathematics in a simple way which would help students to understand it better and easier.

I have my masters in Special Education. I have taught for several years at all grade levels, with students with different types of learning needs. I am most comfortable working with kids teaching basic reading, math, and writing skills, although I am open to other possibilities. I enjoy using games and hands on activities to teach. I have worked with a student with dyslexia this last school year who made significant progress after beginning to receive additional help from me. It was exciting to see this student grow in his confidence and see his success!

My career started in the aircraft engineering industry (10 years); I have a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering. Then it morphed into corporate financial analysis; I have a Masters degree in Business Administration (8 years). Finally, I found my love in teaching (14 years) and tutoring (8 years). My successful tutoring and teaching starts with great learning relationships. I have a passion for sharing my work and learning experiences to help others become successful; whether its a 8th grader or a college student. I'm experienced in both classroom and online instruction. My students leave knowing they gained more than academic skills.

I am a high school senior with a proven track record of excelling in Honors and AP classes, maintaining straight A's throughout my high school years. I have helped many friends with challenging homework assignments by ensuring they understand what is being asked of them and know the subject. I welcome any feedback on tutoring, and I will make sure the student understands the assignment and excels at their work.
