What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We set up a video call on Zoom and discuss the material they're working on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's Degree in Math Education from Emporia State University.

$35 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I realized in high school that I enjoyed helping my friends with math homework. Eventually I decided that it would be a job I'd enjoy.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've mostly worked with college students who are getting ready for College Algebra. I've also worked with high school students and people working on passing the math portion of the GED.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently a few students have shared how they've always had trouble with math, but are able to understand it after my lessons.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Tutors can really help streamline the learning process. It can also minimize any frustration that can result from learning on your own.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about when you specifically want tutoring. It may be best before a test. It may be best weekly. Think about what will be best for you.
