About
I started teaching over 25 years ago and have experience teaching math from 7th grade through college calculus. I am a past recipient of both a Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship and Milken National Educator Award.
It's important to me that students improve their mathematical thinking and not just memorize algorithms and "recipes." That will build a better foundation for future learning and success in mathematics.
I really enjoy helping students grow in their learning and understanding of math, and learning in general. Helping students overcome their frustrations and anxieties, develop more confidence , and enjoy greater success is immensiely satisfying.
