About
I am an independent tutor looking to fill the minds of students who are willing to learn. I've been working as a tutor for almost 10 years at a community college and earned a Level 1 certified tutoring title.
I enjoy seeing the once clouded, now clear expression on a student's face when they come to the understanding of how a problem is worked out.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to build a repport with the student. It's good to make them feel comfortable so they are able to ask questions and to have an effective session. Otherwise, the student nor the tutor will get the most out of a session if both parties are nervous and anxious.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates in Science, and another in Engineering. I tutored for the college I graduated from. Every school year we held tutor training twice, to learn new techniques and or learn about the progress of the school.
What types of students have you worked with?
While working as a tutor at a community college, you interact with a wide variety of students; younger and older.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are the right fit for you and the way you take in information.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Examine thoroughly about what you really have issues with, regarding the problem you have. That way, you know what to ask.
