Angie Mannon Math Tutoring
About
My name is Angie Mannon, and I have been a sixth grade math teacher for the past 25 years. I feel as though my biggest strength is making the kids feel comfortable and successful, even if they are not very confident in their math abilities.
I love seeing my kids feel successful, and when their eyes light up after understanding a concept that was previously difficult for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first step is to get my students to understand that needing a tutor is not a bad thing. I will ask questions about their attitude towards math and about the skills that they find difficult.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Mary.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $25/30 min
or
$45/hour
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor that makes you feel comfortable enough to ask questions. A successful tutor should match his/her teaching style to your learning style
What questions should students think through before talking to tutors about their needs?
I believe that students need to be as specific as possible about the issues that they're having. Simply saying "I don't get it." isn't as helpful.
