English Tutor

I am an English MA student currently working on my last semester of graduate school. I'm a huge lover of literature, and very passionate about encouraging critical thinking, communication, and empathy skills through English studies.

I love tutoring because there is nothing quite like working with a student one-on-one. I get to see all of the 'aha!' moments and enjoy getting to watch my students grow into confident individuals!

I started tutoring 9 years ago, when I was 15 years old! What started as a side job to help out members of my community, quickly became something I love.

One thing you should know about me is that I really believe in the power of a physical book! Technology is great, but I am passionate about teaching students how to annotate, cite, and work critically with real, physical books.

My skills include differentiated instruction, one-on-one student development, and willingness to find a way to work with your student in a way that they enjoy!
