Writing And Reading Tutoring, ESL With Megan
About
Upwards of 95% of kids who struggle to read can improve with help (www.readingrockets.org).
I'm passionate about helping kids grow in their reading and writing, skills that they'll take with them into every area of life.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Toronto, a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing from Humber College, and a 120+ hour TESOL Certificate.
Over the past five years, I've taught literary analysis, essay writing, and creative writing as a student leader, communications coordinator, writing coach, and writer-in-residence at a hospital. I work part-time as a reading and writing teacher, working with preschool through grade 12 students.
I am patient, warm, and encouraging with students. We'll get a little better at each session until we reach your goals!

Seeing kids grow in their capacity is one of my favorite things! I love the moment when they realize they're more capable than they thought.
My ultimate goal is to help kids become lifelong readers and be able to express themselves effectively through writing.
