About
Hello everyone! For as far as I can remember, English has been my passion. I have been writing ever since middle school. I have won many poetry competitions and was inducted into the National English Society. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Creative Writing and Psychology. After I graduated I plan to teach Highschool to help anyone that may need an extra hand in their English skills for college. I love learning and I would love to help in any way shape or form!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is to get to know them. I want to create a no judgment free zone and for them to know that I'm here as a friend too. I also, would like to know what's the best way they learn and even if they don't know, we can always figure it out to get the best out of our sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mother has her own day care in which I worked there for most of my life. I've always tutored at my highschool after school. I've won many competitions related to songwriting, poetry, spoken word and was even inducted into the National Honor Society. Being a sophomore in college, I've already learned so much on top of everything I brought with me in college. I'm always searching for information that can help myself and those around me when it comes to their English skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
When I did summer tutoring I always went by a weekly schedule. I would caculate how many hours and the level of intensity of our sessions and set a basic rate for that student. I would usually present it and would always leave room for negotiation. I've accepted Cash app, Venmo and even PayPal.
How did you get started teaching?
My mother has been a teacher for her entire life. I've seen that flame passed over to each and everyone of my siblings. There is something about the joy of students that want to learn and being able to help them do that.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of color with self esteem issues, anxiety, ADHD and that contain different temperaments. I like to tutor based on who my client is rather than have a strict way of doing things.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of the way my mother looks at my kitten. To see the joy in her eyes as she picks him up and plays with him warms my heart. I'm so happy that she is able to have that joy even if it is just a minute from reality.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In all honesty I would say to pick someone who is right for you. Our intuition is everything. If I or even another tutor doesn't work for you it's okay! Learning is all about feeling comfortable in your environment. Comfortable enough to make mistakes, say your thoughts and be the best version of yourself you can be.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would suggest knowing what you want the end goal to be. When you know that then everything else will come together.
