Tutoring ESL, And Special Education Consultation By Hope

I became a teacher so I could help students that felt they could not learn, find success. I teach students of many ages and can help them become resourceful and in charge of their own education. This empowers people too become experts in their education, understand how they learn, and ultimately find joy and confidence in education.

I have a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Jacksonville University in addition to a Bachelor of Business Arts majoring in computer Information Management from JU as well. As a reflective teacher and life-long student, I am currently working to earn my PHD in Post Secondary Education, which I believe will improve my ability to create learning communities in the schools, among the staff members. I earned my Post Master's teaching certificate in March of 2009. I have worked in the business sector, (Citibank) for the eight years of my career, before I decided to follow my passion for teaching. Prior to that, I managed the Jacksonville office of an Inventory Auditing firm for nearly seven years, where I learned management skills and motivation techniques that I believe will help me in motivating and empowering students to be successful and build a love for learning. This in a catalyst which creates lifelong learners who engaged and confident academically, because they understand how they learn best. .

I currently teach ESE inclusion for students with varying exceptionalities in a K-8 Charter School, Global Outreach Charter Academy. I taught, second and third Grade students in a multilevel classroom, at Torah Academy of Jacksonville and second grade in another smaller school at the Chabbad Synagogue. I tutor student of all ages , both with and without exceptionalities because I believe that all students are capable, exceptional and can be successful. Differentiation , motivation and collaboration among the teaching community will set the stage for success and a staff that learns the modality that will best assist their students. I utilize the cognitive skills training techniques, multitude of educational opportunities to find what will best scaffold, build cognitive skills and including, processing skills, logic and reasoning, reading and math skills and much more.
