About
Each person is different, for this very reason it is important to approach the learning process; in ways that fit the needs of the individual. Some people are visual learners, some learn better on an auditory level, some are better at a hands on approach, and others are perfectly fine learning on there own. With every learning preferences, there is still one thing that is common between all learners. The mind is a muscle and our attention span is built through work. The average attention span, for any human being ranges from twenty five minutes to thirty minutes.
This is why, there is people who go to the library study six hours and still fail there final. To build the mind the right way, in a fun, engaging, progressive manner is the goal.I love to help young kids be better everyday. I hope that one day Kids or whomever I tutor will look back saying "wow I am really happy Mr. Villaverde was my tutor".
My Current Qualifications
I will be handing my students well versed english help. I will be teaching how to study correctly, while building the attention span, making studying less stressful/ retentive, and more result orriented. I will be giving students help with math at, basic to advance levels.
I am currently a college student that is capable of teaching the following Alegebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Alegebra, Basic mathematics (multiplication) (division) Addition + -Subtraction, and College Algebra this concludes mathematics. In terms of literary studies I am capable of teaching the following English Composition college level, Academic Writing, Reasearch Study, Formatting, Fictional Writing, Writing in lyrical music format, Accurate paraphrasing, and Analytical reading.
I am also a Basketball player and avid athelete. I can also train people in this regard. The training consist of basics of the game to advance concepts. Basics being fundamental shooting form, drills for building better handling of the basketball, implementation of skills to games, and basketball film study. If player is more advance, the basics will be brushed and advance drills will be incorporated; to develop high level court vision, High level handeling, Deeper range of shooting, and explosiveness in moves to rim/ pull up to shots. This explanation is very short, comapared to all the drills that will be used to build the players, It is only scracthing the surface.
The passion that I put to progessing myself is the very same passion I will put to help people become better everyday!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First it is important to evaulate how they like to learn. I like to get to know who my student is so they know our environment is a safe and quality place to learn. I want to make the most of our time together and improve on weaknesses and improve their strengths. I will be having my students fill out a survey of questions to learn more about them and proceed from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently have no certifications other than the fact that I am a student. With that in mind, I am more than open to proving my ablity by offer the first few sessions free.

I have always been the type of person that loves to learn and the best way to learn is to teach.

Make sure that he is the type of person that cares that you are actually learning. You do not want a tutor that is only in it for the money.

Take a step back and write down all your strengths and weakness that should give you a good list of things to ask about.
