Hi, my name is Zuriel Wurah, and I'm very patient with students, which I know can be difficult, but I'm great at understanding WHY they're not understanding, and that makes it easier for me to help students learn and comprehend what they're learning. I specialize in Math, Reading and Writing, ESL, Science, and Computer Programming. However, as a current university student, I am always learning and can pick up things quickly, so I can teach any subject with ease. As there are many ways of teaching and many ways of learning, I can alter my methods to suit the needs of students, be it parents, children, or adults.

I graduated from Warner University with a BA in 'Social Science Education 6 - 12'. Beginning my teaching career in 2013 in Polk County, Florida. In the span of 11 years, I have taught grades 5th - 12th in both the public (regular, advanced, and gifted classes) and private sector. Currently, I am the lead teacher for all core subjects in middle school (ELA, Science, Math, and Social Studies). I am high-energy and dedicated to the progress and success of each student I encounter.

I am an Algebra/Geometry teacher working on a high school. I have ten years of experience as a teacher and almost 100 % of my students pass the official state End Of the Course (EOC) exams My job is to make math simple and easy to my students. I can do online tutoring via Zoom since I am used to work with a graphing tablet.

I’m a mom, spouse and teacher. I have 3 girls that currently work online through FLVS. I have a Montessori credential and have experience teaching for the MDCPS system. I found my passion for helping students that struggle with Reading and Math while working as an Interventionist several years ago.

I would love to pursue biomedical engineering and i've always had a passion for math and science. I am closer in age to most students and I've never gotten lower than an A in any Math class.
