About this tutor

I recently graduated from High School and College. My knowledge and love for Math and English will never stop growing! I have helped several students better their education skills and become more confident in it as well. This August will make it my 10th year tutoring and I can not be any more in love with my job! I have an A.A Degree in Genral Business and I am known to make a lasting impact on those that I tutor, so whose next?

I enjoy seeing the progress of those that I tutor. Its amazing to see the effort that is put in when one really wants to learn and understand a subject.

Daphne has worked with my son this past summer and he has gone so far in his academics. She makes him laugh and overall I do see a difference in his grades. I 100% would recommend her.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First: Give a knowledge assessment so I could see their strengths and weaknesses.

Next: Tutor them based on their results, figure out materiaols we would need

Last: Help them understand and apply their knowledge. Give out quizzes and tests and reward with awars.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been tutoring for 10 years. I've attained a tutoring certificate from a private school organization.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

If the sessions are 60 minutes long, it would be $35. However, I can work with the parent if that's too high.

How did you get started teaching?

It started off with just tutoring my little brother, who is now an A student. We interacted so well and I discovered I loved doing it so here I am now.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with students that are between the ages of 5-15. I've worked with energetic students as well as very shy students, at the end of the day, I'm quite experienced!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently attended my first vacation trip with my mother... it was unimaginably amazing!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Just be yourself, be open to trying out different ways to solve a problem, know that I am here to see you thrive and get better. That's always been the goal.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Students should think about if they are able to solve the problem on their own at first, if not then they could come to me!
