About
Passionate about engaging students with different learning types, I seek to provide my tutoring services in light of the difficult times following the COVID-19 outbreak. With experience tutoring in subjects ranging from Test Prep and Algebra to English and Social Studies, I feel confident in delivering the instruction and support your child needs in order to continue thriving during these uncertain times.
I have been tutoring professionally for five years and will be graduating with my Master's degree in Accounting this May at only 20 years old. If you would like to speak to some of my references, please contact me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first meeting, I typically spend 10 minutes getting to know my student on a personal level. I ask them about their favorite subjects and hobbies to help understand what their learning style might be. I also grant students the opportunity to ask me questions so they feel more comfortable with me. Being only 20, I feel that I can connect to middle school and high school students more effectively than older instructors. After this, I explain to my student that they can always interrupt me if they don't understand something or I am going too fast - staying quiet won't help either of us! Once this repertoire is established, I typically launch into whatever my student is studying at the moment and assess their ability through probing questions and practice problems. From there, I identify their areas of weakness and provide multiple strategies for overcoming challenges depending on my student's subject and learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For two years during my Undergraduate career I was a paid tutor at Florida Atlantic University. I was designated a Generalist tutor and helped students with everything from Accounting and Chemistry to American History and Political Science. Later, I worked as a private tutor for ABC Tutoring company based in Boca Raton, where I would travel to my client's homes and provide personalized instruction to high school students in a variety of subjects.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Due to the online nature of these tutoring sessions, I am willing to negotiate rates depending on length and frequency. However, as a general rule of thumb, my sessions are typically $20/half hour.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from all backgrounds and all abilities. I have tutored high school and University student athletes; middle school and high school students with learning and/or social disabilities such as ADHD, dyslexia, and autism; and gifted students of all ages. I understand that everyone learns differently and my primary job is to find a way to communicate the subject that "clicks" for my student. After this, my job becomes easy, and I typically decrease my hours as my students become more confident and capable.
