I have experience teaching ESOL students as well as elementary through high school.
As an immigrant who did not have the benefit of ESOL classes -- and grew up in the melting pot that is New York City -- being able to help someone improve their English Language skills is very rewarding to me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would first need to consult with them -- via email or phone -- and see their educational needs and level. After that, we would discuss their learning goals and set up a schedule to begin.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a way to help my own child, who has special needs, and then discovered that it was my calling.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Students need to ensure that the teacher has experience in the particular subject area the students needs help in.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider how long they'd like to receive tutoring, and what their end goal is.
