About

"Either write something worth reading or do something worth wrting. -Benjamin Franklin

The study of the English Language both in composition and analysis are true passions of mine. I am using this platfrom to spread my love for this subject and improve the wrting and rhetorical analyis skills of as many interested students as I can. Whether it is getting that college essay just right or determing a complex meter in one of Shakespeare's sonnets (and anywhere inbetween!). I desire the opportunity to offer my services for anyone who is looking to go the extra mile during the summer.

I have a BA in English with a Focus on Early Modern and Medieval studies from FGCU and am finishing up my first year as en English teacher in Lee County focusing on American Literature, public speaking, and creative writing.

Make sure that you, the student, are in control of your education over the summer, ask as amny questions as you need to feel comfortable and secure that the tutor has your learning as a top priority.

Questions should include:

"What motivates you as a teacher?"

"What do you feel is the most important skill for a student to possess?"

"What era of literature is your favorite?"

"What is the point of analyzing literature?"

"Why is writing a well-supported essay so important?"

"What am I hoping to achieve in this subject matter?"

It is also important that the student be honest about their strengths and weaknesses in a given subject matter before seeking a teacher to help them.
