About
I have very good English skills and 42 years of teaching experience. I have a BS degree in Journalism and I was at one time a Special Education major. I have education and English credentials. I have and can teach all levels because I have experience with all levels. I have an emphasis in English, ESL and writing. I can teach other subjects in elementary and social sciences in high school. I am kind and patient.
My variety of experience can help anyone with English, elementary and college. I have brought up grades, taught adults to speak English, and have given confidence and skills to challenged students. I enjoy everyone. It is not a chore. It is fun and interesting for the students and for me. I am methodical and patient. This way we get results.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first say kind things and ask short personal questions. Then I ask what the student is working on and ask what he or she has trouble with in a certain lesson from school in a positive encouraging way. Then I work through the lesson and see what we can do to improve his or her understanding. I always give positive feedback and high fives and end on that note. Thank you.
