About
My service stands out because of my individuality. Not only am I experienced but I care about each of my students and helping them reach their own inner academic goals. I try my best to help and teach in as many ways as I can. Teaching and helping students grow academically is something I have always cared deeply for.
I enjoy watching the expression that crosses a students face when they finally understand the material. It's enlightening and refreshing to me when I see that light bulb brighten above their heads. That's when I know I've succeeded at my purpose.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to get to know them personally so I begin with a few fun questions about their hobbies, favorite genre of music, etc. Also, I like to get them pumped up for the lesson by researching fun activities before hand and interlocking the lessons together to give the student an enjoyable experience. Personally, I like seeing students engaged with the material and I have found if they find the material fun and interesting they tend to engage more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of English Literature degree from FIU and five years of tutoring experience in english, elementary mathematics, pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry and reading. To add, I am in the process of obtaining my professional educator certificate from FLDOE and I am in my second year of teaching secondary ELA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing for my lessons. I like to charge by the duration I spend with a student.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching once I graduated from university. I began working with elementary school students as an interim substitute teacher and then transitioned to teaching high school english which is where I am currently.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with elementary aged students and high school aged students with learning diabilities such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and ADD.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I am fond of is before spring break when my students had their mid quarter exam and a high percentage of them showed great improvment with their test scores. I went out and bought treats for the class with the highest proficiency percentage and we had a moment of self congratulations where they got a huge pat on the back from me.
