About
I am a recent graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelors of Science civil engineering and a Masters of Engineering in structural engineering. Throughout my time in school, I have been through many math classes ranging from algebra to differential equations. With an engineering degree, I feel I have a great understanding of applied mathematics and physics. I take pride in my ability to translate material in various unique ways to help with comprehension as my professors did for me.
What brings me the most joy is seeing a student have a break through on a concept they have been struggling with. I understand that feeling of frustration when something just doesn't click, but the second it does, the subject becomes fun again and it is so much easier to learn and enjoy the subject.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially I would like to sit down with the student to better understand their strengths and weaknesses with the subject as well as what they would like to get out of the tutoring. I think it is also important to establish a safe and comfortable environment for both of us to work together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I mentioned previously, I got my undergraduate degree in civil engineering where I took classes ranging from calculus to statistics and differential equations. Along with conventional mathematics courses, I have taken applied mathematics and physics courses that have helped me develop a greater understanding of how they are applied in the real world. In terms of working with people, I have coached a 6-year old girls soccer team which heavily involved teaching developmental skills. This helped me with communicating my thoughts in unique ways as to help various learning styles with comprehension.
